Legislation

People should have the right live free from discrimination and harassment, no matter what they do or where they go.

In Canada we have laws that protect every citizen and recognize fundamental rights which all are entitled to. These fundamental rights are so important that nobody can take them away from you without breaking the law.

  • Legislation exists to protect individuals, businesses and corporations.
  •

  • In addition to national Human rights legislation and the Employment Equity Act, Provincial acts govern and protect employees and people with disabilities.
  •

A complete list of provincial legislation is available on the E-Laws website,
