Prince Edward Island has been limited in terms of heavy industry and manufacturing throughout the past century. However, exploration for natural gases beneath the province has resulted in the discovery of a large quantity of gas in recent years which will lead to a growing number of jobs in the skilled trades sector on the island.
Pipelining will soon become a high demand field on the island and will be joined by already popular industries such as fishery and agriculture.
YAST aims to inform youths with disabilities that P.E.I. is a desirable location for skilled labour in Canada.
